Not Kane or Osimhen – Ten Hag chooses next Man Utd striker with colossal fee affecting other deals

Erik ten Hag has decided on his main Man United striker target for the summer, and a massive fee will have an impact on other moves, while a Euro behemoth is planning an Erling Haaland raid and West Ham might exchange strikers with Inter Milan – all in Friday’s Transfer Rumors.   MAN UTD CHOOSES TOP STRIKER TARGET   According to reports, Erik ten Hag has decided on his number one striker target for the summer, bypassing Napoli’s Victor Osimhen in favor of signing Tottenham superstar Harry Kane.   According to the Guardian, Ten Hag’s ‘favorite No 9′ is the 29-year-old England ace.   The publication explains why Kane is seen as a “surety of goals” in the Premier League.   Osimhen has been in outstanding form this season, scoring 19 goals in 21 Serie A matches.  But, United and Ten Hag plainly believe there is a quality differential between the Italian and English top tiers, and Osimhen’s Serie A exploits do not compare to Kane’s in the Premier League.   Kane’s current contract with Tottenham runs out in the summer of 2024.  Yet, if he refuses to sign new terms, Spurs may be obliged to cash in while the opportunity exists this summer.   Even in that case, Tottenham will make life difficult for Manchester United, according to the Guardian.  Indeed, they would rather sell to a foreign buyer, such as Bayern Munich, than to an English rival.   Spurs hope to ‘deter’ bidders by demanding a ‘large fee,’ according to the article. …
