Last year, Manchester United attempted to sign the Portuguese international, but he rejected their offers to join Barcelona on loan.

Now, according to Spanish source TDF, Atletico Madrid has proposed a swap deal involving Felix and Greenwood to Manchester United.

Greenwood impressed during his loan spell at Getafe, scoring 10 goals and providing 6 assists in the recently concluded season. However, United is looking to offload him permanently.

Atletico Madrid sees this as an opportunity to acquire Greenwood and has offered Felix in exchange.

Felix, 24, made 18 league starts for Barcelona, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists. Despite his talent and versatility in playing anywhere in the attack, there are questions about whether he can significantly strengthen Manchester United’s offense.

Felix initially shone at Benfica before moving to Atletico Madrid in a 120 million euro deal. He helped Atletico win the La Liga title in 2021 but has struggled to maintain his form since then. During the 2022-23 season, he was loaned to Chelsea, where he scored just 4 goals in 20 appearances.

He has also been selected for the Portugal squad for the upcoming European Championships.
