Jadon Sancho predicted to become a ‘superstar’ at Manchester United after shaking off slow start
According to a former Manchester United player, Jadon Sancho will become a “superstar” at the club.
The England international’s play has improved in 2022, and he has two goals and three assists in his last six appearances. Lee Sharpe is one player who isn’t surprised to see Sancho improve dramatically.
Sharpe explained the reasons for the 21-year-poor old’s performances at the start of the season in an interview with The Athletic. Sharpe began, “I like Jadon Sancho.”
“When he arrived at Old Trafford, he struggled, but players do suffer after international competitions. It’s not only the physical strain, because Sancho wasn’t playing all of England’s games in the Euros; it’s also the mental strain.
“Luke Shaw, Harry Kane, Harry Maguire… These players have had a difficult time (this season). I believe it’s because they didn’t have a sufficient rest, and as a result, they became mentally and physically exhausted, and reaching the final meant emotional disappointment.
“Sancho suffered a handful of minor injuries during his time at United, but he recovered quickly. There’s no doubt about his abilities.
“He has a keen footballing brain in that he takes the right judgments at the right time, and he can go past people for fun. He can see a pass, picks the appropriate pass, and plays at a fast speed rather than simply swinging a cross in.
“I believe he will be a United superstar.”
