Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United last week after his contract was voluntarily terminated as a result of his controversial interview.

Manchester United players have spoken out in the aftermath of Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from the club.

United stated last week in a statement that their famous forward’s contract had been mutually terminated following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan. Among other shocking revelations, Ronaldo stated that he felt “betrayed” by the club and that he had no regard for manager Erik ten Hag.

His position at the club became untenable as a result of the interview, and his departure was confirmed on Tuesday. “Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect,” the club announced. The club wishes him and his family well for the future and appreciates him for his enormous contribution throughout two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 matches.
