Ralf Rangnick was dropped into the Old Trafford bench in the middle of the current season, much as he was the previous time he oversaw a Champions League quarterfinal tie.
Rangnick joined Schalke in March 2011 and guided the German team past incumbent champions Inter, setting up a semi-final clash with Manchester United of all clubs.
The XI is as follows: Rangnick might make his first appearance in a knockout round of Europe’s top competition since losing 6-1 on aggregate to his current club 11 years ago.

Jadon Sancho (LW) Sancho, a player with 15-plus assists in his last three seasons, finally registered his first (and second) in red on Sunday after producing 34 shots that went unconverted in his first 27 appearances for Manchester United.
