Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has told those close to him that he wants to leave Old Trafford in the coming months, according to Football Insider.
The 24-year-old has struggled under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick this season, scoring only four Premier League goals.
He was recently described as ‘absolutely shocking’ by talkSPORT analyst Micky Gray, and he is said to be ‘worried’ about his lack of playing time.
Both Barcelona and Liverpool have been linked with a transfer for Rashford this year, with his contract expiring in 2023.
After being notified by a source with knowledge of Rashford’s condition, Football Insider revealed a significant update.
They said that the Englishman has informed friends that he wants to leave Old Trafford and that a new challenge would be the best option for him.
After ‘good talks’ last week, it appears like Erik ten Hag could replace Rangnick in the Old Trafford dugout, although Rashford appears to still want out.
This summer may be the Red Devils’ last chance to get reasonable compensation for the 24-year-talents, old’s so an exit and a fresh start may be best for all parties.
