Man Utd snub two big-name strikers as Ten Hag masterminds incredibly cheap alternative deal

According to rumors, Manchester United have rejected two forwards from prominent European teams and are now looking for a cheaper alternative from Germany.

Erik ten Hag is hoping to finally fix his striker dilemma this winter. He does not see Cristiano Ronaldo as his long-term talisman and is expected to break ways with him next year.

The boss can also call on Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. But, if he and Manchester United want to appease their fans, they should bring in a great goalscorer to replace Ronaldo.

Manchester United have been linked to a number of strikers, including Lille’s Jonathan David. Sadly for United, he is now a target for Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.

Benjamin Sesko is also liked by Manchester United. However, he has agreed to transfer from Red Bull Salzburg to RB Leipzig next summer, making this a difficult signing to accomplish.

Man United have also been connected with La Liga and Serie A strikers. Florian Plettenberg, a Sky Sport Germany writer, has provided an update on these endeavors.

‘Been told that Vlahovic and Joao Felix are not an issue at Manchester United,’ he stated in a tweet about Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix and Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic. They are not club transfer targets.’

The fundamental issue here is most likely money. Man United spent almost £227 million in the summer transfer window to bolster Ten Hag’s squad. Casemiro, Antony, and Lisandro Martinez were among those that arrived.

The side also didn’t make much money from sales. Players such as Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, and Juan Mata all went on free transfers once their contracts expired.

Man United chooses Serie A over La Liga.
Man United’s executives cannot justify this kind of spending in each transfer window. Ten Hag has so moved on from Felix and Vlahovic.

Felix cost Atleti £113 million in July 2019, therefore the Spanish club would demand a large sum to let him go. Meanwhile, Vlahovic only recently transferred from Fiorentina to Juventus in a £63 million transaction. As a result, if Manchester United came knocking, Juve’s stance would be similar to Atletico’s.

Ten Hag is now looking for a much cheaper striker to replace Ronaldo. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting of Bayern Munich is the individual in question.

For two seasons, the Cameroonian international born in Germany had to play second fiddle to Robert Lewandowski. Choupo-Moting has stepped up since Lewandowski left for Barcelona.

Choupo-Moting has scored 10 goals in 14 games this season, putting him in excellent form. This includes Champions League victories over Barcelona and Inter Milan.

According to Bild, Manchester United will try to recruit Choupo-Moting in January by offering him a ‘big contract.’
