Man Utd can sign their own Leandro Trossard after Red Devils’ scouting mission

Manchester United could follow in the footsteps of Arsenal by bringing in a forward in the summer to replace Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United have been persuaded that they may learn from Arsenal’s signing of Leandro Trossard and sign a similar player for Erik ten Hag in Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma. The Japanese sensation has lit up the Premier League under Roberto De Zerbi in recent months, attracting interest from a slew of big clubs as he took over for Trossard following his January move to the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta’s side campaigned for the Belgian after being outbid by Chelsea for Mykhaylo Mudryk, but Trossard has made an immediate impact as a center-forward in north London. Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha feels that Mitoma can replicate Trossard’s success in transferring from Brighton to a major club.

“Certainly, [Mitoma] can play for a top club.” “He’s a fantastic player who is incredibly sharp, mobile, and nimble,” Saha said to Betfred. “You’ve seen what Leandro Trossard can achieve at Arsenal, and I feel Mitoma can do the same for a bigger team.”

“He’s been really consistent for Brighton this season, and I’m quite impressed by him.” There is a distinction between playing for Brighton and playing for Manchester United, Liverpool, or Arsenal, therefore it would be a significant step forward for Kaoru.”

According to the Sun, United has previously sent scouts to see Mitoma this season, as Champions League-level clubs show interest in the winger. The presence of Red Devils scouts at Brighton games is not unusual, but they have done so with a particular concentration on the 25-year-old.

Ten Hag will get to see Mitoma up close and personal in their FA Cup semi-final next month after he did not play in the Seagulls’ 2-1 success at Old Trafford in August.

Saha also believes that United should pursue Mitoma’s Brighton teammate Evan Ferguson, who just scored on his debut for Ireland. “Absolutely,” Ferguson should be targeted by United “Saha elaborated.

“While competing for trophies, you must also continue to work on developing young players and bringing them to a level where they can shine and become one of the finest players in the world.

“It’s difficult to find an 18-year-old at the top level who is playing and scoring as much as Evan has.” You must consider how to integrate the player into the team and a different system, but Evan is a highly bright player who is also quite mobile. I haven’t seen enough of him to have an opinion about him as a player, but he’s obviously demonstrated what a menace he can be.”
