Despite previously failing in the Premier League with West Ham, the Ivory Coast international has been immensely impressive in his time at the Eredivisie.

Man United might use some reinforcements upfront this summer, and Haller appears to be the ideal candidate after scoring 33 goals in 39 games across all competitions this season.

Furthermore, Haller may go for just £35 million, making him a cheaper option than the £100 million-rated Harry Kane, whom the Red Devils cannot afford, according to the Sun.

It could also be smart business for the club to bring in a player who Ten Hag knows and trusts, given how successfully the duo worked together at Ajax.

Haller may have struggled in his last term in England, but he appears to have improved significantly since then, and it will be intriguing to see if he can continue his outstanding form at Old Trafford.

United has Edinson Cavani’s contract expiring this summer, and Anthony Martial’s future appears to be in doubt following a disappointing loan spell, so there’s obviously a place for a talent like Haller in this squad.

The 27-year-old could end up being a steal for £35 million, however, some MUFC fans will be frustrated that their club appears to be out of the hunt for a more established elite player like Kane, who has done the business year in and year out in the Premier League for the previous seven years or so.
