United were trounced by Brighton on the first day of the new season, and Erik ten Hag will be expecting for a response. United were defeated 2-1 at Old Trafford last Saturday, and the manner in which they were defeated was particularly disheartening.
Cristiano Ronaldo did not start the game, but he replaces Scott McTominay in Ten Hag’s starting lineup against Brentford.
Ronaldo has completed a full week of training and is now fully fit, as is Raphael Varane, who started on the bench against Brighton. The only players sidelined due to injury are Anthony Martial and Victor Lindelof.
United last played Brentford at the Community Stadium in January of this year, winning 3-1.
