Manchester United, under the guidance of Erik ten Hag, has witnessed an upturn in form, securing five wins in the last six Premier League games, including four consecutive victories on the road.

Despite this positive trajectory, the impending arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and potential changes to the football operations have fueled speculation about managerial replacements.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s £1.4 billion deal for a 25% stake in Manchester United is expected to bring significant changes to the club’s structure.

Chief executive Richard Arnold has already left, and football director John Murtough is reportedly under scrutiny.

Erik ten Hag, despite recent successes, might also be at risk if Sir Jim Ratcliffe envisions a fresh start with an Ineos-approved coach.

Although Manchester United has vehemently denied claims of considering a replacement for Ten Hag, recent reports have once again linked Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti to Old Trafford.

According to Spanish radio program Tiempo de Juego on Cope, Ancelotti has received an offer from a Premier League club seeking a new coach for the upcoming season.

Reporter Juanma Castano dismissed the possibility of Ancelotti returning to Chelsea or Everton or taking over from Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

Instead, he identified Manchester United as the interested club, especially as Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s agreement with the Glazer family progresses.

Castano suggested that Casemiro, who has previously worked with Ancelotti at Real Madrid, and Alejandro Garnacho, a young talent, are both interested in the Italian manager’s potential arrival.

This interest could be influenced by Ten Hag’s previous disagreements with both players, indicating potential support for a coaching change.

Ten Hag has faced challenges with Garnacho, including omitting him from the squad during pre-season due to reported tardiness for team meetings.

Additionally, his decisions regarding Casemiro’s playing time and form have caused friction, notably with the Brazilian midfielder’s substitution at half-time against Brentford.

While United has disputed these speculations, the dynamics within the squad, combined with the looming changes, add an element of uncertainty to Ten Hag’s managerial tenure.
