The incident in question involved Alejandro Garnacho, who played on the right wing for United and was closely marked by Tottenham’s Destiny Udogie.

In the first half, Garnacho went down in the box under pressure from Udogie, suggesting the Spurs defender had impeded the Red Devils’ attacker.

Despite immediate penalty claims, both the referee and VAR dismissed them, and the game continued.

Sharing his thoughts on the incident during a press conversation, Erik ten Hag remarked (via UtdDistrict on X): “Yes.

What can you do? But I am used to it; all season, that is the case. At Spurs, it was similar, a clear handball, and I can list more…”

Currently, Manchester United sits in seventh place in the Premier League standings, trailing fourth-placed Arsenal by eight points with one more game played.

The opportunity to secure all three points slipped away due to defensive lapses against Tottenham, allowing Richarlison to equalize from a corner (19′) and Rodrigo Bentancur to find the net immediately after halftime (46′).
