Antony, a Manchester United-linked player who now plays for Ajax, has posted two photographs to Instagram showing the winger enjoying United’s match versus Liverpool tonight.
The Ajax star has been linked with a move to Old Trafford several times this summer, with The Times recently stating that the Red Devils could up their bid to £84.9 million for the Brazilian forward.
Erik ten Hag will be eager to bolster his squad before next week’s transfer deadline and will be hoping for a reunion with his old Ajax teammate.
As the transfer deadline approaches and fans wait for additional additions, Antony’s agent has sent a mysterious message on Instagram in a pro-United post.
The 22-year-old is under contract with Ajax until 2025 and scored eight league goals in 23 appearances last season under Ten Hag.
According to the Times, Antony is pressuring Ajax to agree to a deal to United, exercising alone on Friday and informing Dutch reporters that he cannot commit to Ajax.
Ten Hag has completed four signings this season, including Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, and Lisandro Martinez.
