Current Ajax players Sebastien Haller, Antony, and Jurrien Timber are among those expected to follow the 52-year-old to Manchester.

Ten Hag, on the other hand, says that there are no plans to raid his previous team.

‘No, no agreements on that,’ ten Hag told reporters on Friday.

‘I now have extremely good players, so it’s not a problem.’

One of the most important decisions that ten Hag must make involves Cristiano Ronaldo’s future.

United’s best scorer this season has one year left on his contract, but it’s unclear whether he’ll stay at Old Trafford now that the club is unlikely to qualify for the Champions League.

According to reports on Friday, ten Hag wants Ronaldo to stay at the club and hopes to make him a vital member of his new-look team next season.

However, with three games remaining in the Eredivisie season and ten Hag’s immediate attention now on Ajax’s title bid, the Dutchman has refused to discuss the future of any United players, including Ronaldo.

‘Those are future questions,’ ten Hag said.

‘We’re in a crucial title chase and a crucial week.’ I now want to concentrate on that rather than Manchester United.’
