Barcelona’s manager, Xavi Hernandez, has lauded the playing abilities of Manchester United’s star, Marcus Rashford, describing him as one of the most challenging players to contain on the field.

Rashford, the English international, has consistently delivered outstanding performances for the Red Devils, tallying 30 goals and 11 assists from 56 appearances last season.

Notably, he contributed a goal and an assist during a thrilling 2-2 draw against Barcelona in the first leg of the Europa League play-offs. United eventually advanced with a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford.

In an exclusive interview with Mundo Deportivo, Xavi acknowledged that Rashford, along with Vinicius and Benzema, presented significant challenges and cost Barcelona the tie.

Despite a challenging start to the current campaign, Rashford remains a pivotal figure for Manchester United. He has accumulated one goal and two assists in eight appearances across all competitions this season.

While he has displayed excellent positioning in and around the box, his decision-making has occasionally let him down. Nonetheless, manager Erik ten Hag continues to place his faith in Rashford, starting him in every Premier League and Champions League game.

Rashford is eager to regain his scoring touch and will likely feature as the left-winger in the upcoming match against Galatasaray on Tuesday night, offering him the chance to end a four-game goalless streak.

Subsequently, United will host the Turkish champions in the Champions League before facing Brentford on Saturday, marking their final league game before the international break.
