Man United host Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday in a game featuring two of the Premier League’s hottest teams right now.
Arsenal has received an injury boost ahead of their match against Manchester United on Sunday.
With five wins from five Premier League games this season, the Gunners have the only perfect record in English football. They travel to Old Trafford to face Erik ten Hag’s side, who are in fine form with three wins in a row.
In terms of personnel, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was concerned that he might be forced to restructure his squad. Two of his key players will undergo late fitness tests before the journey to Manchester.
Both goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and captain Martin Odegaard were injured in the midweek triumph against Aston Villa at home. While Ramsdale finished the game, Odegaard left ten minutes early. Both, though, have traveled with the team and will be thoroughly evaluated before the game on Sunday.
If Ramsdale is ruled out, American goalkeeper Matt Turner could be drafted in for a debut, while Fabio Vieira could be drafted in if Odegaard is deemed unfit. However, with both Ramsdale and Odegaard on the squad bus, Gunners fans will be hoping that they will play a part in the game.
Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has missed the last two games due to a knee injury, has also joined his colleagues on the trip north. Arteta confirmed on Friday that the Ukrainian had not exercised with the squad since his injury and is, therefore, a major question for the contest.
“Unfortunately, Alex (Zinchenko) is still not one of them. He has missed two games and is yet to work out with the club “He stated. The defense appears to be unaltered, while the front three of Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Martinelli are almost guaranteed to start again.
Arsenal’s expected starting lineup at Old Trafford is as follows: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, Gabriel, Saliba, Tierney; Sambi Lakonga, Xhaka, Odegaard; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.
Ramsdale, Turner, White, Soares, Tomiyasu, Holding, Gabriel, Saliba, Marquinhos, Tierney, Zinchenko, Smith, Lokonga, Xhaka, Vieira, Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe, Martinelli, Jesus, Nketiah
