According to CNN Portuguesa (verified by AS), if the club accepts, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will be paid £211 million (€250 million) over two seasons.

The staggering sum would also see the 37-year-agency old’s Gestifute collect £17 million (€20 million).

It remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will accept the amazing offer, but given that the player wants to leave and United paid Juventus less than that a year ago, it is difficult to picture United turning it down.

The dispute is likely to revolve around Ronaldo’s desire to continue playing in Europe’s top divisions. It goes without saying that if the attacker’s priority is to play in the Champions League, a move to the Middle East is doubtful.

Time will tell how this one ends, but make no mistake: clubs all over the world will continue to try their luck as long as one of the world’s greatest ever players pushes for a move.
