According to a fresh report, Manchester United is planning to make a new offer to Dutch club Ajax for one of their top targets this summer, Antony.
United have been interested in Antony since the start of the transfer window, with new manager Erik Ten Hag favoring a move for the right winger based on his performances at Ajax.
The Brazilian winger was a vital player for Ten Hag’s Ajax throughout their title-winning season last season.
United had backed away from a move for the winger, while Liverpool had reportedly increased their interest.
Ten Hag still holds high affection for the Brazilian, but he is also highly regarded at his present club Ajax and would require a large offer to leave the club this summer.
Ajax reportedly demanded roughly €80 million from United, putting an end to any further talks.
However, new rumors surfaced on Tuesday, claiming that Ajax was interested in signing Manchester United youngster Ethan Laird.
According to soccernews.nl, United may now offer Ajax a player push cash deal for the player.
“Manchester United is contemplating a £40 million bid to Ajax for Antony, plus Ethan Laird.” According to the outlet.
Laird is a player who would benefit from a move away from Old Trafford and is ranked about third in his position.
