United will now meet fellow Premier League team Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-finals, which will take place on March 18th at Old Trafford.

Said Benrahma fired West Ham into the lead against United in the second half but the Red Devils pulled themselves level after Nayef Aguerd headed the ball into the back of his own net.

Garnacho’s remarkable shot in the 90th minute put United up 2-1 against West Ham, before Fred sealed the win in injury time with the Red Devils’ third goal of the game.

Speaking after the fifth-round FA Cup game, Ten Hag claimed that he advised Garnacho to take the opportunity after starting for United against West Ham.

“I witnessed another step from him today,” he added.

“Before the game, I told him, ‘You make an impact when you come on, but now you need to have an impact as a starter.'” I believe he is capable, and that is the next step he needs to take.”

Garnacho, who has a contract with United until 2024, broke into the scene under Ten Hag and has impressed during his time with the first squad.

United are eager for the 18-year-old Spanish-born winger to commit his long-term future to the club and are said to be in advanced talks over a new contract.

Ten Hag commended Garnacho for his heroics against West Ham, citing the United starlet’s bravery as one of his greatest assets.

“It is one of his talents. “It’s a terrific ability when you’re courageous and brave,” he says.

“He’s one of the athletes I believe has a very specific skill. There are not many players in world football you take players on, who are capable of just going at players and out-dribbling them.”
