The transfer issue has gone on for months, and it would be interesting to see if the Moroccan will join United from Fiorentina.

According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (news image provided below), Manchester United are in talks with the Viola to sign the African playmaker.

Initially, the Serie A club agreed to a deal with Nottingham Forest, but the player turned it down. The auction is now between Fulham and Manchester United.

Joao Palhinha, Fulham’s main holding midfielder, has been linked with a move to German champions Bayern Munich.

In such a scenario, the Cottagers have come up with a proposal of 30 million euros (£25.7m), but, CdS adds that ‘Amrabat wants United’.

Erik ten Hag had been seeking to sign the player on loan, but according to Corriere dello Sport, Man Utd are now compelled to agree to a sum of £25.7 million to sign the former Feyenoord midfielder from the Italian side.

Amrabat has been training alone and has not played for Fiorentina this season while waiting for the three-time European winners to complete his contract.

In all honesty, Manchester United should pay the £25.7 million required to complete the purchase. What are your thoughts?
