‘I doubt’: BBC pundit backs £200,000-a-week striker to join Manchester United, not Newcastle

A £200,000-PER-WEEK STRIKER IS LIKELY TO JOIN MANCHESTER UNITED OVER NEWCASTLE.

Glenn Murray believes Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane will join Erik Ten Hag’s Manchester United in the summer transfer window, dismissing Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United as a viable option.

The former Brighton and Hove Albion striker told BBC Sport that Kane will remain in the Premier League and that he will join Manchester United at the conclusion of the season.

Murray believes Manchester City would now refuse to sign the £200,000-a-week (The Sun) striker because they already have Erling Haaland.

The BBC Sport analyst believes Newcastle will not be an option for the England international striker, and explains why he would be better off joining Manchester United instead.

Harry Kane is expected to join Manchester United rather than Newcastle United.
“I think Harry Kane will stay in the Premier League,” Murray remarked. Ultimately, he’ll aim to break Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record, which he can do given his age and the number of goals he’s scored.

“I don’t think Man City will want him now that they have Haaland.” Newcastle is unlikely to be an option for him, so Manchester United is where you think the shoe fits. It’s a huge football club.

“They’re on the verge of reverting to their former selves.” The one thing they lack is an out-and-out goalscorer like Harry, but I believe he has a lot more to offer.”

Newcastle could be an option, according to the HITC.
If Harry Kane decides to leave Tottenham Hotspur at the conclusion of the season, Newcastle United, if they finish in the top four, might be a possibility for him.

Yes, Manchester United is a bigger club than Newcastle, but if Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy decides to let Kane go, he will sell him to the highest bidder.

Newcastle may easily outbid Manchester United.

After all, the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia owns them.

Newcastle’s top strikers are Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak, but Kane is on another level.

He is a world-class athlete.

We feel that if Newcastle has the opportunity to sign Kane, PIF will do everything in their power to secure him.
