‘He’s Already in England’: Man Utd Now on the Verge of ‘Perfect’ £64.5m Signing – Want to Complete Deal Today

Rasmus Hojlund has agreed to join Manchester United from Atalanta. According to the latest report from journalist Alfredo Pedulla, who has proven his dependability this summer with accurate reporting on both the Andre Onana and Hojlund to United transfer sagas, the Red Devils are on the verge of acquiring the Danish striker, with the deal set to be completed as soon as Saturday.

Manchester United is on the verge of signing Rasmus Hojlund due to the club’s need for Hojlund.
Manchester United cannot afford to not buy a striker this summer.

Anthony Martial is the closest thing to a recognized number nine currently on the roster at Old Trafford, although the Frenchman has been converted to the position from being a winger earlier in his career more out of necessity than anything else. While he may be effective in a central attacking role, he is injured much too frequently to be relied on as Erik Ten Hag’s primary goalscoring threat.

With Martial presently absent for United’s preseason tour of the United States, it has become painfully clear how sorely the squad requires a striker.

Ten Hag’s attack appeared dull against Real Madrid on Wednesday night in Texas. Despite the fact that solid performances were few and far between among the Dutchman’s team, there were still chances to be taken, and the Spanish giants were able to keep a clean sheet.

According to the Dutch manager, this performance “absolutely” highlighted his team’s need for a new striker, as he acknowledged in his post-match press conference.

“There were two things: better pressing from the start, and scoring goals.”

“I believe we need more players who can play one-on-one, and we had one-on-one situations.”

“In one-on-one situations, it was (Marcus) Rashford and, I thought, Scott McTominay.” Garnacho, a one-on-one match. You must score from the circumstances.”

Rasmus Hojlund to Manchester United: Pedulla’s Latest Update

Pedulla’s last update highlighted how close the Red Devils are to signing Hojlund, whom he says is “perfect” for Ten Hag.

He claims that the next few hours will be crucial for the completion of this deal, with both parties planning to finalize the agreement on Saturday, meaning that the striker will be unavailable for Atalanta’s pre-season friendly against Bournemouth at 3pm (BST).

At the moment, United’s offer for Hojlund is thought to be a fixed fee of £53.3 million plus £4.3 million in bonuses, while Atalanta is holding out for a bid in the area of £58.4-60.1 million fixed plus £4.3 million in add-ons.

According to Pedulla, a solution might be found if the Red Devils increase their fixed fee offer to £55.8-56.7 million, plus bonuses to bring the transaction up to a potential total of £66.5 million.

“He’s already in England,” Pedulla concludes, “and his future will be in the Premier League.”
