Merely four months after joining Sarpsborg 08, Bonsu Baah secured a significant move to KRC Genk, with the Belgian club paying a substantial €5.2 million for his services.

Despite limited prior experience with just 15 appearances, including one goal and two assists, the 18-year-old seamlessly adapted to life at Genk.

In the ongoing Jupiler Pro League season, Bonsu Baah has already made 14 appearances, solidifying his role as an essential player for the team.

In an interview with De Zondag (via SportWitness), the promising Ghanaian talent shed light on his football journey, revealing that he had the opportunity to trial at renowned clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, and Manchester United when he was 16.

However, due to age restrictions, he couldn’t secure a professional contract at that time.

Bonsu Baah reflected on his journey, stating, “It’s good that I have a lot of patience,” and expressed gratitude for the chance to play at Genk, calling it the best thing that has happened in his life.

While it remains uncertain if Manchester United is still monitoring his progress, especially considering their challenges in the right-wing position – an area where Bonsu Baah primarily plays – his continued development may soon attract attention from top European clubs.
