The Red Devils are grappling with a lack of firepower in the front, with Sancho struggling, Antony and Rashford out of form, and Hojlund still seeking his maiden Premier League goal.

To address this, Manchester United is willing to significantly increase Griezmann’s wages to secure his services from Atletico Madrid, as per Spanish source Nacional.

The French international, a 2018 World Cup winner, has a £22 million release clause in his contract at Wanda Metropolitano, valid until 2026.

Reports suggest that representatives from Old Trafford have initiated talks in Madrid to negotiate a deal for the Les Bleus superstar.

Griezmann currently earns approximately 7 million euros per season, and Manchester United is ready to propose a deal worth £354,000 a week, totaling 21 million euros per season.

Despite being 124-capped, Griezmann, who remains one of the world’s top players, will turn 33 next year, making this a potential short-term solution for Manchester United.

In the ongoing season, he has showcased exceptional form, scoring four goals in as many Champions League appearances and contributing directly to nine goals in 12 league games.
