The 29-year-old midfielder joined the Red Devils on loan from Bayern Munich in January and has fit in nicely with Erik ten Hag’s team.

The Dutchman is a tremendous fan of Austrian international Sabitzer and believes he would be an excellent permanent addition to the club’s squad.

According to Football Insider sources, United is eager to sign Sabitzer on a permanent basis, with Ten Hag pressuring the board to finalize a deal.

All parties engaged in a potential transaction this summer are said to be eager to finalize negotiations as soon as possible.

Sabitzer is content at Old Trafford and has instructed his representation to negotiate a permanent contract.

United are eager to begin talks in the coming weeks, and Bayern Munich is willing to let Sabitzer go if their £25-30 million asking price is fulfilled.

The groundwork for trade has already been laid after United and Bayern discussed the potential of a permanent deal in January, though the finer details have still to be worked out.

Sabitzer dropped down the pecking order in Germany under Julian Nagelsmann but has seen his minutes improve at Manchester.

Casemiro’s bans at United have given Sabitzer an opportunity to shine, and he has already started four consecutive games for the team.

Sabitzer has scored and assisted once for United this season in 12 appearances across all competitions.
