Both were on the panel for the broadcaster’s production of the match, including former player Theo Walcott and presenter David Jones. Later in the day, video emerged that appeared to show only a few seconds of the confrontation.

Richards was seen speaking to someone while grasping their shirt by the collar with both hands in the viral video. A man in a suit tries to try to break up the heated exchange, but fails to separate the duo as others watch in the background.

Keane then appears to become involved as he steps across to speak to the individual in question, seemingly grabbing his shirt in the process. According to the Express, the incident occurred just before the two were supposed to begin their punditry duties on the sidelines.

There have since been reports that a headbutt was thrown at Keane, which resulted in someone being booted out of the Emirates by security. The Met police stated that an investigation was ongoing, but no arrests had been made at the time of the announcement.

“Police are investigating an alleged assault at the Emirates Stadium during an Arsenal vs. Manchester United match on Sunday, 3 September,” according to the statement.

“We understand the police are investigating an alleged assault by a member of the public immediately preceding the footage circulating on social media,” a Sky Sports representative told the Mirror. Micah Richards was seen in the video working to settle a problem.”
