Rasmus Hojlund of Denmark is Manchester United’s top striker target, but a sum has yet to be agreed upon with Atalanta.

There have been suggestions in recent days that Paris Saint-Germain may attempt to hijack the transaction. According to the Mail, the Ligue 1 club has held conversations about a deal.

BBC Sport has a report. Atalanta is asking for £60 million. United has yet to match Serie A’s asking fee.

Rasmus Hojlund is a Manchester United fan.

Hojlund’s rumored desire to join Manchester United is one factor working in their favor. According to Gazzetta, he grew up idolizing Cristiano Ronaldo.

Fabrizio Romano contributes. Hojlund has also reached an agreement with United on personal terms.

The most recent reports came from Alfredo Pedulla. In the midst of PSG’s interest, he claims Hojlund has instructed his agents to “always give priority to Manchester United.”

Manchester United, according to Romano, will increase their interest because they are concerned that if they wait any longer, they would miss out.

“PSG keep speaking to player side — Man United are set to bid soon, they want to avoid any hijack,” he says.

United must act quickly.

Manchester United should not have to wait for PSG to make a move. The club should move faster to sign a striker.

The lack of a center-forward is the most obvious weakness in United’s lineup, and while Hojlund alone may not be enough, he would be a start.

There are only three weeks until the start of the Premier League season, so closing this deal before the end of July would be quite beneficial.
