Facundo Pellistri of Manchester United put on a performance for fans who might have been watching Uruguay’s 4-1 thrashing of Venezuela.
The youthful winger was instrumental in his country’s goal of qualifying for the World Cup, which will be contested later this year in Qatar.

In usual fashion, the loan player outpaced several opponents in the Venezuelan penalty area before setting the ball on a plate for colleague Giorgian de Arrascaeta to score in the 23rd minute.
Pellistri’s statistics demonstrated just how dangerous he was and reminded fans of the type of attacking potential they have on their hands.
The former Penarol man finished all four of his dribbles, generated four chances, including one big chance, and maintained a stunning pass accuracy percentage of 93 percent.
Ralf Rangnick would have liked to see Pellistri win seven of the ten tackles he attempted.

Much has been made of United loaning out Anthony Martial, Donny van de Beek, and Amad Diallo this winter, but with Pellistri producing like this, he’ll be pounding on the door sooner rather than later.
Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho are likely to be the main picks for the left and right-wing positions, respectively, although Pellistri should be able to push them both next season.
If he can somehow rescue his present loan term with Alaves in Spain, he may still have a role to play for the Red Devils.
