That’s the opinion of ex-Red Devil Luke Chadwick, who believes the team will make significant progress under new manager Erik ten Hag.

Chadwick predicted the top four for the 2022/23 season, with Manchester City winning the title again and Liverpool finishing second.

Nonetheless, he believes United will go up to third, while Arsenal will edge Tottenham for fourth.

“I believe Manchester City will win the league again, with Liverpool finishing second.” It’s more difficult to forecast what comes after those two. “I think it’s a great opportunity for them now that Ten Hag is at Man United,” Chadwick told CaughtOffside.

“I think they’ll get stronger as the season progresses, and I think they’ll finish third.” Obviously, I’d want to see them finish higher, but I believe Liverpool and City are still too strong for the rest of the league at the moment.

“Spurs and Arsenal have both recruited quite effectively, and there won’t be much of a difference between them.” Chelsea is having some pre-season problems; they’ve got some pretty talented players but have also lost some really crucial players.

“So my overall prediction for the top four is City to win, Liverpool to come in second, United to come in third, and then I’d probably lean towards Arsenal to come in fourth.” I appreciate the signings they’ve made, especially Mikel Arteta.

“I think Spurs will barely miss out, and Chelsea could slip away like Manchester United did last season.”
