After being arrested on allegations of rape, sexual assault, and threats to kill, Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood’s bail will expire on April 30.

Police arrested the striker for the first time on Sunday (January 30) on suspicion of rape and violence on a lady.

He was then detained on allegations of sexual assault and making death threats.

On February 2, Greater Manchester Police said that the 20-year-old had been freed on bail.

“The 20-year-old guy arrested (on Sunday, January 30, 2022) on suspicion of rape and assault of a woman has been freed on bail awaiting further investigation,” the force said in a statement.

Greenwood’s bail will expire on April 30, GMP has confirmed to Mirror Football.

It could be extended at this point.

The club has suspended the United Academy graduate until further notice.

He hasn’t played for the club since the 22nd of January Premier League match against West Ham.

Nike has acknowledged that their collaboration with the forward has come to an end, after originally halting their engagement with him.

Greenwood’s accuser has been offered’specialist support,’ according to GMP.
