Manchester United’s 3-3 draw with Galatasaray left fans irate, especially with manager Erik ten Hag, as the result edges the Red Devils closer to Champions League elimination.

Ten Hag’s apparent smile and embrace with former player Hakim Ziyech, who netted twice for Galatasaray, didn’t sit well with United supporters.

The Dutch manager, having previously worked with Ziyech at Ajax, displayed a cheerful demeanor despite the disappointing outcome.

This gesture angered fans, with some comparing it to the stern and focused approach expected from legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Comments on social media expressed discontent, suggesting that such camaraderie after a dismal performance was not fitting.

One fan voiced their frustration: “State of this… just had us pretty much knocked out of the CL and he’s having a laugh with the opposition. Should be writing his resignation letter.”

Another expressed disbelief: “I’m dying man, nothing against Erik ten Hag, but if this was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer…”

A third questioned historical managerial behavior: “Did Sir Alex Ferguson ever do this? Knocks me sick when I see managers be all smiles when their team has just had a humiliating match.”

And another added a historical perspective: “Cannot say I care for this after United have pretty much got knocked out of the Champions League.

Don’t mean to be a bore but Fergie would have been furiously straight down the tunnel after the handshakes.”

In addition to frustrations with Ten Hag, fans were also displeased with goalkeeper Andre Onana after his mistake allowed Galatasaray to narrow the gap before securing the equalizer.
