The Red Devils still need to enhance their roster, and Benjamin Pavard’s name remains strongly associated with them.

Jan Aage Fjortoft, a Via Sports reporter, was at Old Trafford to cover the game against Molineux, and he claimed yesterday that Pavard has agreed on wages to join Man Utd.

On the X, the former Norwegian forward wrote:

“Pavard has informed Bayern that he wishes to leave.” He and Manchester United have agreed on his salary, but the two clubs have not agreed on a fee.”

According to Bild, the 27-year-old French international has told the Bavarians that he wants to join Manchester United.

According to the renowned German media outlet, Erik ten Hag’s team is willing to spend £25 million (29 million euros) on the midfielder, whose contract with the Allianz expires in less than a year.

However, after failing to sign Walker, Bayern Munich would prefer not to lose Pavard but may sell him for a minimum fee of £38.7 million (45 million euros).

It is said that more talks are scheduled to take place this week, and the two clubs will have to close the existing transfer fee disparity of 20 million euros.

Is Benjamin Pavard good enough to replace Harry Maguire at Manchester United, in your opinion?
