Two not good Enough – Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag ‘identifies three strikers’ he’d prefer to sign over Joao Felix

Erik ten Hag wants Manchester United to bolster its offense in the coming transfer windows.

Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, is said to favor signing three different strikers ahead of Joao Felix. Felix of Atletico Madrid has been linked with a move to Old Trafford as a possible replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo’s future at Manchester United appears to be in jeopardy. After refusing to come on as a substitute in the win against Tottenham, the Portugal superstar was barred from first-team training last week and left out of the squad to face Chelsea.

Ten Hag will need to bring in reinforcements upfront if Ronaldo leaves. This season has been difficult for Anthony Martial due to injury, while Marcus Rashford loves to play out wide.

According to the French outlet Jeunes Footeux, Felix is one of the players United is interested in. However, he is not Ten Hag’s primary assault target.

Felix is not a true center-forward and is more typically used as an attacking midfielder or a second striker. Ten Hag would love to sign three other players, according to Jeunes Footeux.

Lille’s Jonathan David, Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrik Schick, and Lyon’s Moussa Dembele are among them. Ten Hag would prefer a forward profile that is more organically suited to the function.

Following two outstanding seasons in Ligue 1, David has been linked with a move to the Premier League. He has scored 32 goals in the last two seasons for Lille and has nine goals in 11 games this season.

The contract with the Canada international is still two and a half years old. Schick, on the other hand, was a prolific scorer for Leverkusen’s previous season.

Last season, only Erling Haaland had more Bundesliga goals than the Czech Republic’s star. He has only three strikes in 15 games this season, but he has four and a half years left on his contract.

Dembele is the final member of Ten Hag’s target list. The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester United for some time.

Dembele’s game time has been limited this season due to Alexandre Lacazette’s return to Lyon this summer. The former Fulham and Celtic striker have two goals in nine appearances, including five as a substitute.

He scored 21 goals in Ligue 1 last season but will be upset by a lack of playing time this season. Dembele is nearing the end of his contract and could be the simplest transfer for United to accomplish.
