Jadon Sancho explains what Christian Eriksen has brought to Manchester United dressing room
Man United defeated FC Sheriff 2-0 on Thursday, and Jadon Sancho lauded one of the club's midfielders following the victory.
Christian Eriksen was praised by Jadon Sancho after Manchester United defeated FC Sheriff in the Europa League.
United started their Europa League campaign with a 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad, but they bounced back with a strong performance away at FC Sheriff on Thursday night, with goals from Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Erik ten Hag’s side was never bothered by FC Sheriff, who scored their first goal late in the second half.
It was a crucial win for United before the international break, and Sancho discussed it in his post-match interview.
The attacker used the opportunity to laud Eriksen while also admitting that the team is thrilled for Ronaldo.
“Beginning the season [in the Europa League] with a loss was an unfortunate outcome, so we knew today was a must-win,” Sancho said after the game. “I’m overjoyed to have scored, but I must continue to work hard for the club.
“I believe we can all agree that Christian [Eriksen] possesses numerous attributes. You can see how he plays; he’s very comfortable on the ball and has the poise to find a pass, so we’re thrilled to have him.
“When Cristiano’s confidence is high, he scores one, two, three, or four goals, so we’re pleased for him.”
