Not Maguire or Baily – Jose Mourinho promised to bring Man United flop to Roma this summer

That is according to Sacha Tavolieri, who claims that if Nemanja Mati leaves Roma, Mourinho may look for McTominay to replace him.

The Scotland international was not a regular starter for Manchester United last season under Erik Ten Hag, and the same is likely this season. The 26-year-old is thought to seek regular games at this stage of his career, and Roma might be an ideal destination for the Manchester United star.

West Ham are another club interested in signing McTominay this summer, and their initial proposal was rejected by Manchester United, according to Tavolieri. According to the journalist, United is demanding for £40 million to complete the deal, and it is unclear whether Roma is willing to spend that amount for the Scotland international.

McTominay needs to leave Manchester United this summer to further his development, and whichever choice he chooses, both have European football to offer the 26-year-old.
