Third Signing Announced – Man Utd ready to replace 25-yrs-old flop with £7m World Cup star

Manchester United are interested in signing Celtic defender Josip Juranovic this month, according to the Italian website Tuttomercatoweb.

The 27-year-old was a standout for Croatia at the 2022 World Cup and is now set to leave Parkhead. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Torino and Monza have made contact to sign him, but Man United is the most interested.

According to the source, the right-back is hoping to join Manchester United in the middle of the season. United has asked him to be patient for a few more days while they try to unload Aaron Wan-Bissaka and make room in their squad for him this month.

Diogo Dalot is now Quality United’s first-choice right-back. Wan-Bissaka has been second fiddle to him for the majority of the season and could be on his way out shortly, given the club’s rumored interest in Juranovic.

According to The Scottish Sun, the Croatian might be available for as little as £7 million. If United can buy him for the same fee, he would represent excellent value for money and could be viewed as a formidable rival to Dalot in the right-back position.

Wan-Bissaka has not provided Dalot with enough challenge in the last year, but that could change with Juranovic, who is an attacking full-back. He has a propensity for making overlapping runs on a regular basis, something the management prefers.

A transfer now hinges on how swiftly United can get rid of Wan-Bissaka. Despite his scant first-team experience, the 25-year-old has a slew of suitors. Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing him, although Crystal Palace, his old club, is also interested.

United have had a successful season under manager Erik ten Hag, and they are currently looking to add to their squad depth for the remainder of the season. The club is already in the top four of the Premier League and will look to improve its status.

The forthcoming games against Manchester City and Arsenal should present them with a stiff challenge. They have won their previous eight games in all competitions, although they have benefited from a winnable schedule that has included multiple clubs from the lower half of the standings.
