Striker leaves Manchester United on permanent deal late on deadline day

He showed some potential with the Red Devils, scoring 12 goals in 19 games in the Under-18 Premier League in the 2020/21 season, but his growth has evidently not impressed them.

 

According to ESPN, he has transferred to Gladbach for an unknown price, which ‘includes an initial loan fee and a sell-on.’

 

The teenager will join Gladbach’s Under-23 team with the intention of breaking into the Bundesliga club’s first team.

 

Dillon Hoogewerf has been signed by Borussia Dortmund. The 18-year-old Angreifer has moved from @ManUtd to the U23 Fohlen.

 

On the Manchester United club website, a statement confirming his departure read: ‘The Dutchman’s permanent move has now obtained international permission.’

 

‘Hoogewerf joined United in 2019 and began his scholarship after leaving Ajax in his hometown.

 

‘This season, the 18-year-old has appeared in 16 Premier League 2 games, as well as the UEFA Youth League and the EFL Trophy, scoring twice.

 

‘Everyone at Manchester United wishes Dillon the best of luck in the future.’

 

In other transfer deadline day news, goalkeeper Matej Kovar signed a new contract with United until 2023 and was loaned out to Burton Albion for the remainder of the season.

 

This season, the 21-year-old has been training with the first squad and has been called up to the Czech Republic national team for the first time.
