The two clubs were recently paired together in the Champions League and will face off in February and March of the following year.

This season, the French international has only made ten appearances and hasn’t appeared like the ideal fit for United in the previous two seasons.

Atletico Madrid has long admired Martial and believes he will be available in the January transfer window, according to Eurosport.

The 26-year-old is said to be unhappy with his current situation at the club, and his agency has claimed that he wants to depart in January.

According to Eurosport, the Spanish club could contact United in the coming days to learn more about the fee and whether he would be available next month.

Not only will they debate Martial, but they will also discuss the idea of a swap deal to bring the out-of-form striker to the club.

When queried about the matter over the week, interim manager Ralf Rangnick replied that he hadn’t spoken to the player about it.

“I don’t connect with agents through the press or the media.” He remarked at a press conference, “The player hasn’t spoken with me or us about it.”

After worsening a minor injury earlier in the season, Martial hasn’t been included in the matchday squad in recent days.

According to the Daily Star, Atletico would be willing to utilize a couple of players if an exchange deal went through.

Marcos Llorente, a midfielder, might be a good fit for Rangnick’s system, especially given speculations that he is looking for a successor for Paul Pogba, who is expected to leave in the summer.

The Spaniard may also play right back, which is another area where the Red Devils have struggled this season.

Yannick Carrasco, a winger or wing-back, and Kieran Trippier, who was strongly connected with the club in the summer, are two potential alternatives for the exchange deal.

It may be in United’s best interests to proceed with this move, given the present economic scenario, which limits how much money can be spent, particularly during the January transfer window.

Any prospective trades will help the team improve in areas where it lacks depth in terms of quality players.
