South Korea put in there effort and found a reward in the 26th minute from a corner thanks to a mistake by Cristiano in defense that Kim Young-Gwon took advantage of. The ball was left loose in the area after hitting CR7’s back and the Asian player did not waste it.
Portugal allowed their early advantage against South Korea slip thanks to an error from Cristiano Ronaldo. Fernando Santos’s side had stormed into an early lead thanks to a goal from Ricardo Horta after just five minutes .
