After breaking into the first-team in November 2020, Haaland played alongside Youssoufa Moukoko at Borussia Dortmund. As a result, he became the Bundesliga’s youngest player and piqued the interest of the legendary striker.

He is now being pursued by clubs such as Manchester United and Liverpool, with the possibility of a reduced fee. Moukoko is only 17 years old and has yet to commit to a long-term professional contract with Dortmund.

His father, according to SportBILD, has a falling out with his agent, which is generating problems in negotiations. Moukoko’s father has accused his son’s agency of being avaricious, and rival agencies are now attempting to entice him to sign with them.

His youth and rising stature in the game make him a potentially valuable signing. The scenario has also caught the attention of Manchester United, who ‘have their sights set’ on signing the highly rated striker.

When all costs are included, Moukoko is anticipated to cost roughly £26.5 million. That is a cost that the top Premier League clubs could readily afford, especially for a player of Moukoko’s caliber.

This season, the 17-year-old has six goals and six assists and has established himself as a fixture in Dortmund’s lineup. According to the Spanish newspaper Sport, Liverpool is one of the clubs interested in signing him, and his meteoric rise comes as no surprise to Haaland.

“I’m overjoyed for Youssoufa. I’d want to play with him sometime. I believe he is one of the most talented people in the world right now. He’s only 16 years and one day old, yet he’s already playing brilliantly. He has a bright future ahead of him “After Moukoko’s debut, the Norwegian stated.

Haaland continued to praise him at the end of that season, seemingly encouraging him to stay at Dortmund. Insider quoted him as saying: “[Youssoufa] is really powerful and skilled. He is already training at one of the best clubs in the country. The club allows you to participate. It makes no difference how old you are.”

Despite Haaland’s praise, Moukoko has tried to keep his feet on the ground. And he has asserted that he is capable of dealing with the strain that has come with his spectacular start to his career.

“You simply have to get used to it.” People around me are constantly saying something. My parents are my advisors. I believe I can handle it. I have nothing to prove to anyone but myself. That’s what I discovered,” he told Kicker in June.

“It’s my job to score goals.” This is where the coach believes in me; he told me right away, ‘I’m counting on you.’ That gave me a lot of self-esteem. I absolutely want to get more match practice, score more goals, and avoid injuries. Now that I’ve had a chance to gather my breath, I’ll be able to assault fully next season. “I’m quite motivated.”
