Manchester United will not comment on Cristiano Ronaldo’s explosive interview with Piers Morgan until “all facts are proven.”

Ronaldo gave the broadcaster an interview that will be aired in full on Wednesday and Thursday this week, but some of his comments have already been previewed.

The 37-year-old accuses Erik ten Hag of attempting to kick him out of the club, claims he has no respect for the Dutchman and alleges the club has “betrayed” him.

The initial comments were posted online at 10 p.m. on Sunday, and more segments will be posted before the whole interview airs on Piers Uncensored later this week.

United has now issued a statement stating that it will not reply until they are aware of the whole substance and know all of the circumstances surrounding the interview.

“Manchester United takes note of the media coverage of Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview.” “The club will assess its response once all of the facts are known,” the statement read. “Our focus remains on preparing for the second half of the season and maintaining the momentum, belief, and unity that the players, manager, staff, and supporters have built.”

The first clips from the conversation surfaced just hours after United defeated Fulham 2-1 in extra time thanks to Alejandro Garnacho’s injury-time goal.

It also airs at the start of United’s five-and-a-half-week vacation, with Ronaldo heading for the World Cup in Qatar this week.

When asked if United was attempting to force Ronaldo out, he told Piers Morgan Uncensored: “Yes. Not only the coach but also two or three other members of the club.”

When asked if they were senior executives, Ronaldo continued: “Yes. I felt duped. I honestly don’t know why I said that. But I don’t care; people should pay attention. I feel deceived as if some people didn’t want me here not only this year but also last year.”
