In a fresh start, Sancho wiped clean his previous posts and dropped hints about his imminent transfer to Dortmund, featuring an image from his earlier stint at Signal Iduna Park as his display picture.
The upcoming move is a straightforward short-term loan without a buy option, ensuring Sancho’s return to Manchester in the summer.
During his exile, he maintained fitness by training with the academy players at Carrington, preparing for a new challenge after being clear that his future didn’t lie at Old Trafford.
Notably, Jadon Sancho holds a unique record, being the only player since 2004-05 to score and assist in at least 15 goals each during a single Bundesliga season, achieving this feat in 2019-20 with 17 goals and 16 assists.
Sancho is scheduled for a medical examination at Dortmund before officially rejoining his former team until the end of the current campaign.
The question remains whether coach Edin Terzic will include Sancho in the lineup against Darmstadt in the Bundesliga on Saturday or opt to wait until January 20 for his competitive return against Koln at RheinEnergie Stadion.
