The latest reports on Vlahovic’s potential move to Manchester United indicate that the Red Devils, along with Bayern Munich and Chelsea, are in the race to secure the 23-year-old’s services. However, it remains to be seen if Juventus will be open to selling the talented striker at the end of the season.

According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who shared the information on Twitter, Chelsea has not yet submitted an €80m bid for Dusan Vlahovic. While the striker is highly regarded at the club, no official offer or negotiations have taken place. Bayern Munich and Manchester United, on the other hand, continue to pursue Vlahovic, eagerly awaiting Juventus’ decision.

Contrary to recent claims by ESPN, which suggested that Chelsea had already made an €80m bid, Romano refuted those rumors. It’s worth noting that Vlahovic made a move to Turin in January 2022 on a £66.6m deal from Fiorentina.

What makes Vlahovic an enticing prospect is his playing style, which draws comparisons to Manchester City’s Erling Haaland. Football insider Dean Jones has previously described the sought-after talent as “a bit like Haaland.”

This likeness arises from the fact that both players are dominant left-footed options in attack, with Haaland standing at an imposing 6 foot 4, while Vlahovic is slightly shorter at 6 foot 3.

Although Vlahovic has yet to match Haaland’s prolific goal-scoring form, with the Norwegian netting an impressive 52 goals across all competitions this season, the Serbian striker has still demonstrated clinical prowess. He has scored 23 goals in 62 games for Juventus, adding to his previous tally of 49 goals in 108 appearances during his time in Florence.

Vlahovic’s talents have garnered high praise, with Serbian FA president Nenad Bjekovic even suggesting that his compatriot is “better and more than complete” compared to the renowned City hero. Forbes’ Emmet Gates has labeled him a potential “generational” talent.

While Vlahovic has only scored ten league goals this season, Gates previously remarked that the striker has been underutilized by manager Max Allegri, likening him to a high-performance sports car being driven like an economy vehicle. A change in environment could be the catalyst for Vlahovic to rediscover his top form.

With Manchester United in dire need of a new number nine, Vlahovic could potentially embody the Haaland-like qualities desired by manager Erik ten Hag, especially if the club decides to part ways with Anthony Martial in the upcoming transfer window.”
