HAALAND INCENTIVE HANDED BY RANGNICK

Ralf Rangnick, the next Manchester United manager, will be paid an £8.5 million incentive if he can help the club recruit Erling Haaland.

After being outbid by Borussia Dortmund in January 2020, the Norwegian striker has been on the Red Devils’ radar for the previous 12 months.

Since joining Dortmund, Haaland has a record 71 goals in 70 games. Manchester City, Chelsea, Barcelona, and Real Madrid have all expressed interest in him as a result of his performance.

According to Bild, United’s management believes they have secured a major factor in enticing the 21-year-old Rangnick.

The German has a working relationship with Alf-Inge Haaland’s father and agent, Mino Raiola.

During his tenure with RB Salzburg, Rangnick worked for Red Bull. He also met with Alf-Inge and Raiola on several occasions in an attempt to persuade them to join RB Leipzig.

According to the article, Rangnick left an impression during those conversations on his football philosophy and vision. There was also the impression that the 63-year-old had a good ‘chemistry’ with him.

Rangnick is crucial to the Haaland agreement.

Rangnick would be compensated handsomely if he can persuade Haaland to sign, according to the article.

United is expected to pay him an eye-watering £8.5 million bonus, according to reports. That’s in addition to the £64 million-plus bonuses they’ll have to pay Dortmund.

Rangnick is reportedly paid £8 million per year at Old Trafford, more than double his wage at Lokomotiv Moscow.

According to the Star, the former RB Leipzig manager has made a significant financial leap from his £3.8 million-a-year contract in Russia.

He is significantly better compensated than his predecessor, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with an annual salary of £8 million. Before leaving United, the Norwegian earned £7.5 million a year.
