Ralf Rangnick Fires Stern Warning to Lazy Man Utd Stars

Ralf Rangnick, a German tactical guru and Manchester United interim coach, has issued a stern warning to the team’s slacker players. Guys like Lindelof, Wan Bissaka, Fred, and McTominay, it’s known, could be jeopardized if they don’t learn to press the ball forward rather than backwards.

In his first interview, Rangnick defined his football philosophy and said that his immediate goal is for the Reds to “control” games, with no place for a sloppy mentality on the field.

Since the seasoned German football professor was recruited by United’s board of directors, much has been made of his characteristic ‘gegenpressing’ approach, which he created over the course of his inventive career.

Rangnick’s tactical approach is largely acknowledged with reinventing German football, and it has had a direct impact on a number of top coaches across Europe, including Jurgen Klopp, Julian Nagelsmann, and Thomas Tuchel, to mention a few.

The new temporary manager was asked to explain his attitude to English football fans who may not be aware during a sit-down interview with Man UTD tv reporter Stewart Gardner.

Rangnick despises slackers but admires those that have exceptional ball control.

In a candid interview taped at Old Trafford, Rangnick adds, “I mean, in football, it’s all about control.” “Whether the other team has possession of the ball or you have possession of the ball yourself, you must maintain control if you want to win games.”

“This is most likely one of the primary goals for the next few weeks, to help the team seize control of the game, at least against the best teams in the last few weeks.”

Ralf Rangnick discusses why he thinks Man Utd is weak under Ole.

“I watched Manchester United games against Liverpool and Manchester City; even though we gained a point against Chelsea, and even against clubs like Watford, the team lacked control.” They didn’t have any control over the game, which is something we’ll aim to change.

‘Of course, this has to do with what we do when we have the ball and what we’ll do when the opposing team has the ball.’ In those two areas, I believe it is critical to build the team in the next weeks.

On the other hand, because we play every three days, we won’t have much training time, so it’ll be all about video footage and using video material as a tool to build the squad, train the minds, and motivate the players to do the correct things.

I believe it is critical to win games first and foremost, and then to gradually build the team in the right way.”

Rangnick, 63, is credited by both Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel with influencing their own versions of Gegenpressing, a high-octane ball-recovery style he has used with his teams since the 1980s.

With Chelsea and Liverpool looming large ahead of United, the Red Devils’ new temporary manager will be entrusted with not just bridging the gap, but also overseeing a style change for the remainder of the season provided his release from Lokomotiv Moscow is confirmed.

After studying at the University of Sussex and playing non-league football for Southwick during his time in England, the Backnang-born coach who will be coming through the doors at Old Trafford has had a long association with this country.
