It’s been a thrilling start to the 2022/23 season, with Arsenal emerging as the surprise package, sitting atop the table, while Manchester United is also showing real signs of development under Erik ten Hag.

Manchester City, meantime, appears to be stronger than ever after signing Erling Haaland, who has been on fire in front of goal, while Harry Kane has been his regular influential self for this increasingly slick-looking Tottenham side.

See below for our full lineup, which includes three Arsenal players, two each from Manchester City and Manchester United, and one each from Tottenham, Liverpool, Brighton, and Crystal Palace…

For Arsenal, William Saliba has been a revelation in defense following his return from loan at Marseille, while Aaron Ramsdale has been a true consistent performer and leader in goal for the Gunners. Further ahead, Granit Xhaka has made an unexpected improvement to become an important member of Mikel Arteta’s team, and he absolutely deserves to be recognized here.

New signing at Manchester United Lisandro Martinez has been an important part of Ten Hag’s new-look side, while Diogo Dalot is now the clear first choice at right-back and is making significant contributions both defensively and offensively.

Haaland has been brilliant for defending champions Manchester City, netting 11 goals in his first seven league appearances in what appears to be a one-sided fight for the Golden Boot this season. Pep Guardiola’s entire team has been fantastic as usual, but Joao Cancelo is a particular joy to watch with his offensive flair and creativity from full-back.

Elsewhere, Luis Diaz has been the one true bright spark in this Liverpool team, demonstrating that there is life beyond Sadio Mane. Meanwhile, Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has been immensely outstanding in the club’s good start to the season, which has included a 2-1 win at Old Trafford and a 5-2 hammering of Leicester City to put them in fourth place.

In the attack, Kane has been productive as usual, while also linking up the play superbly by dropping deep into a number ten role at times, while Wilfried Zaha has four goals already this season, making him by far the finest player outside of the traditional main six.
