The defender enjoyed a fantastic season last season for United, but has struggled at times this season under Solskjaer and Rangnick.
Luke Shaw of Manchester United believes he was “nowhere near” the player he could have been at the start of the season.
After a great summer with England at the Euros, Shaw was an ever-present for United at the start of the season.
However, as United fell farther down the Premier League table, his performance drew criticism from fans and experts.
The 26-year-old admitted on the club’s website that he was aware of his poor performances.
“”I know that the first part of the season was nowhere near where I can be,” Shaw admitted.
“I’ve had a number of minor ailments and haven’t been 100 percent fit.
“Right now, I’m feeling great, but the most important thing to me is the team and what we need to do to improve and get back to battling for bigger and better things than we are now.”

On Wednesday night, United will restart their European adventure when they travel to Atletico Madrid for the first leg of their Round of 16 contest.
Shaw told the club’s official website that he believes United can go all the way to the Champions League final this season.
He stated, ” “We think as a group that we can win the Champions League. There’s no reason why we shouldn’t believe it.
“Some people will think I’m crazy for saying that, but we have faith and trust in our ability to win.
“Many people on the outside may not believe it, but I’m confident that everyone in this dressing room — the players, the staff, and the management – believes we can.
“Now we have to gain some traction, get some results, and keep playing well.”
Before Shaw and his teammates can concentrate on Atletico, they must first deal with a difficult match against Leeds on Sunday afternoon.
“I believe this is the season’s crunch point,” he added.
“It’s critical to gain some traction. We’ve got to win some games.
“We are Manchester United, and we should be vying for the title, but instead, we are vying for a place in the Champions League. This club must compete in the Champions League.”
