It was his 13th and 14th Premier League goals of the season. Ronaldo took seven minutes to make his impression, but Elanga sent him the opener on a dish, leaving the five-time Ballon d’Or winner with a straightforward close-range finish. Later, he made it 2-0 before Norwich equalized.
The 37-year-old great not only moved over Harry Kane and Sadio Mane in the goal-scoring records, but he also etched his name into history alongside Elanga, with the 17 years and 81 days separating them becoming the largest age gap between goal-scorer and assist-maker.
That extraordinary United achievement was undoubtedly reason for celebration. It was time to bring the big one out!
