New Return Date Announced – United star Antony arrived at Old Trafford on crutches during Fulham clash

On Thursday night against Chelsea, the Brazilian needed to be stretchered off after suffering an injury.

Prior to playing Manchester City in the FA Cup final the following week, it caused United a serious dilemma.

And on Sunday, when United played Fulham in the last Premier League game, the winger was seen riding crutches to Old Trafford.

Fears that he won’t make the final on Saturday have increased.

However, Ten Hag underlined that it is likely that the 23-year-old will be available.

Erik told BBC Sport, “We all saw he came out last Thursday, so it’s fairly soon, but we think it’s not too bad.

He’ll most likely be available for the cup final the following week.

“We’ve all seen how he came off and it didn’t look great, but the first assessment is not too bad,” Ten Hag continued in his interview with MUTV. “There is a good chance he will be available for the cup final next week.”

When Antony left the field against Chelsea, he had his head in his hands and appeared to be inconsolable.

However, United will benefit greatly from Ten Hag’s determination that he should be fit for the FA Cup final.

The ex-Ajax player joined the team last summer for a staggering £85 million cost, but he hasn’t exactly lived up to the price tag.

He has only scored four goals in the Premier League and provided two assists.

The Brazilian international has been crucial to Ten Hag’s plans, but one of those goals came against City earlier in the season.

Antony, a left-footed player, has played on the right side and demonstrated offensive skills by cutting in with his stronger foot.

It has occasionally produced flashes of brilliance, but he has not consistently displayed this talent.
