Paul Pogba admits he’s ‘dissatisfied’ at Manchester United and breaks silence on future

Paul Pogba has given the clearest indication yet that he is ready to leave Manchester United after his contract expires this summer. Ten years after his initial move to Juventus, speculation about the World Cup winner is still at an all-time high.

Pogba is reported to be attracting interest from top teams throughout Europe, notably PSG and Real Madrid, due to a contract dispute between the player and the Old Trafford leadership. After four seasons at Turin, the 29-year-old returned to United in 2016 for £90 million.

Under Jose Mourinho, he won the League Cup and the Europa League after a year, but Pogba and United have not won any further titles since. This season, he has made 19 appearances in various positions across all competitions, scoring once and contributing nine assists. But what does the soon-to-be out-of-contract Frenchman see for himself?

Pogba said in an interview with Le Figaro: “To be honest, the last five seasons have not satisfied me in the least. We aren’t going to win anything this year. I want to win trophies, whether it’s with Manchester United or another team.

“With France, it’s simple: I play and I play in my position – I know my role and I have the coach’s and players’ trust. It’s natural to notice differences at Manchester United because it’s difficult to maintain consistency when your position, team structure, or [midfield] partners change frequently.

“I get along well with [France manager Didier Deschamps], and he gave me a job that I am familiar with — but do I have a role at Manchester United? I pose the question, but I am unable to provide a response.”
